About Her

She grew up in Compton, California. She is the daughter of a woman who loved to dance, always had long red nails, and high heels. Her father was a traveling fisherman who always wore a grey sweatshirt and a white painters cap. She's the oldest of three. Her brother John was a sweet soul who passed away earlier this year of dementia. Her baby brother Roy lives in Oregon with his two sons. My grandma and Roy reunited after 23 years. I had the luxury of being there. It's amazing to me how a brother and sister can be apart for so long, and yet continue to act the same. Now when I say the same I truly mean they are like the same person... their similarities where remarkable. Same mannerisms, same sense of humor.
